Student Page

Dear Students,

Welcome!!  I am excited about the coming year!  A little information about me, I am a new teacher who has recently changed professions.  I am a certified paralegal but I really want to work with students, so I received a second degree - Master of Arts in Teaching.  I chose to be a special education teacher.

I enjoy technology, so we will be using several different computer programs to enhance our learning through the year like Kerpoof, which is a Disney owned website that we will use to create an element movie, ToonDoo, which we will use to create cartoon storyboards, and Maevis, to learn how to type.

I have high expectations for myself and my students.  I encourage you to visit me before school or after school to seek assistance when you have questions about grades or other issues related to class.

I am the oldest of three children and I have two younger brothers, an 18 year old son and two lovely nieces.  My son and I are Crossfitters, and my son's goal is to go to the CrossFit Games.  One of my nieces is the coxswain at Boston College (in case you don't know what a coxswain is - per wikipedia:In a crew, the coxswain (or simply the cox) is the member who sits in the stern facing the bow, steers the boat, and coordinates the power and rhythm of the rowers. Coxswains are traditionally thrown into the water after a regatta win), and my other niece is a successful field hockey player who is trying to become a part of the Olympic team and just signed with University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) to attend the Wharton School of Business.

I’ll make every effort to do my best as a teacher and hope you will do the same as a student.

Sincerely,

Ms. P.C. Charnley
