Dear Parents and Guardians:

My philosophy for learning is that each student is unique, and learns in different ways.  One of my jobs as a teacher is to help your child discover his or her individuality and work alongside with them to maximize their critical thinking skills.  I believe in learning creatively and focusing on developing effective writers, cultivating the ability to analyze situations and invent practical solutions and incorporating the ability of locating new information.  My goal is to create a community of learners who are committed to working hard and having fun while learning.  I want students to leave my classroom feeling confident that they can apply what they've learned in school to real-life situations.

Collaboration, cooperation, and open communication between home and school are keys to building a strong foundation for a successful school year.  Please feel free to contact me at any time.  I can be reached at pcharnley@dawson.k12.ga.us or 706-216-4849 ext. 1335.  If you would like to talk in person, I am always available to schedule appointments before and after school.
I will send announcements and reminders through http://teacherweb.com/images/aniWorld.gif (click on the world) Facebook.

 Sincerely,

 Ms. Charnley
